Both Top Gun 1986 and Top Gun:Overview of Maverick :
Top Gun 1986:
Although "Top Gun" is not based on a true story, it does draw
inspiration from actual events.Actually, an article written by Israeli writer
and director Ehud Yonay and titled "Top Guns" served as the basis for
the movie. The movie, according to numerous pilots in the United wates Navy St,
accurately depicts life as a Navy pilot.
Top Gun Maverick Overvie:
"Top Gun Maverick" Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is where
he belongs after more than 30 years as one of the best pilots in the Navy. He
pushes the boundaries as a brave test pilot and avoids promotions that would
put him out of a job.Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his
deepest fears while training a group of graduates for a special assignment.
This leads to a mission that requires the ultimate sacrifice from those who
choose to fly it.
In Top Gun, why did they fly an F-18?
In Top Gun, why do they fly F-18s?Why not older fighter jets like
Maverick?Due to the absence of F-35s with two seats, F-18 Super Hornets are the
preferred aircraft in the film instead of F-35s.For the purpose of filming,
they needed to have the actors and highly skilled Navy pilots aboard the
aircraft.
It's not just a Top Gun stunt:Cruise is, in fact, a seasoned pilot who
has held a professional license since 1994.Cruise revealed in an interview with
James Corden that he holds a license to fly a variety of aircraft, including
fighter jets and commercial flights.
Tom Cruise, who returns as "Maverick," is well-known for
performing his own stunts, and he wanted Miles Teller, Monica Barbaro, and Glen
Powell to learn to fly.
The Gun:After all, Maverick is the official sequel to the 1986 film, and
while the first film may provide some background information, it is not
required. The Gun:More than 30 years after Top Gun, Maverick takes place.
In terms of action, both films are successful, but their style is vastly
different. The kinetic edge comes from the original Top Gun, whereas Top Gun:Maverick
has a high-tech edge, resulting in two distinct but complementary films made
from the same material.
Is Top Gun required prior to Maverick?
The answer is clearly no.Technically, you don't have to watch Top Gun to watch Top Gun:Maverick. But if you want to know what happened decades ago, learn about Pete Mitchell's character, and get a sense of how he interacts with Iceman, his old foe, you might want to watch the first movie again.
